This sequence of Matt was shot in Switzerland in spring 2011 whilst on a trip shooting for Skier magazine and Orage clothing. We’d had some terrible luck with snow conditions and our search for powder had come up with nothing. In an effort to salvage something from the trip we decided to head to Laax for the last few days where we knew they had a good park that would allow us to make a few images regardless of snow conditions. In fact we also got a cover shot out of this session with this same trick that Matt is doing in the sequence. This was shot with a Canon 1dMK4 and a fisheye lens.
Nice sequence. I like the lens flare. Do you use a tripod on these one or rather spend more time aligning pics on Photoshop?

No I don’t use a tripod for this. Small movements are easy to adjust for in Photoshop as long as you don’t pan with the subject. Every muscle of your body will want to pan as the skier goes past but you must remain still and not swing that camera otherwise a 20 minute photoshop job will turn into a 4 hour one!
